Senior Data Analyst

Mercy is hiring a Senior Data Analyst to support data-informed decision-making across the Ministry. The role partners with stakeholders to turn complex business challenges into scalable data solutions, actionable insights, visualizations, and reports while promoting data governance and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• The Senior Data Analyst plays a pivotal role in driving data-informed decision-making across the Ministry by partnering with key stakeholders to address complex business challenges
• Leveraging advanced analytics tools, statistical methods, and deep business acumen, this role transforms data into actionable insights that inform strategic initiatives and operational improvements
• The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for gathering and translating business requirements into scalable data solutions, uncovering trends and opportunities through rigorous analysis, and delivering impactful visualizations and reports
• As a champion of data governance, this individual ensures the accuracy, integrity, and ethical use of data, serving as a trusted steward in promoting best practices and maintaining compliance with enterprise data policies

Requirements:

• Degree(s) in data analytics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, technology or related field experience
• Two (2) years of relevant technical or business work experience or knowledge in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related technical/analytical field, with a proven ability to deliver actionable insights that influence strategic decisions
• Demonstrated proficiency in SQL and/or Python for data extraction, transformation, and analysis, along with expertise in industry-standard data visualization tools
• Strong analytical thinking and advanced problem-solving capabilities, with experience handling medium to large datasets, including data cleansing, transformation, and integration
• Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in cross-functional teams, demonstrating sound judgment and ownership over assigned projects
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data quality, accuracy, and integrity
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise insights for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Epic/Clarity Certifications and/or equivalent Healthcare experience
