Business Development Account Manager

FUSION Marketing hires a Business Development Account Manager to build and maintain client relationships and provide exceptional service across its offerings. The role manages client accounts, identifies opportunities for retention and growth, and coordinates with internal teams to deliver client programs and solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts, building and maintaining strong, trusted relationships
• Develop a thorough understanding of each client's business, objectives, challenges, and priorities to anticipate needs and recommend appropriate solutions
• Manage day-to-day client communications, requests, and expectations, ensuring a high level of responsiveness, professionalism, and service
• Proactively identify opportunities to strengthen existing client relationships and expand business through additional Fusion services and solutions
• Collaborate with internal teams, including business development, creative, marketing, incentives, and production, to develop and deliver solutions that align with client objectives
• Coordinate client proposals, presentations, budgets, and program recommendations in partnership with internal teams
• Lead and participate in client meetings, presentations, and planning discussions, effectively communicating Fusion's capabilities and recommendations
• Serve as a liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring clear communication, alignment on expectations, and successful execution of client programs
• Maintain oversight of assigned accounts and projects, monitoring timelines, deliverables, budgets, and client satisfaction
• Identify and address client concerns or challenges, working collaboratively with internal teams and leadership to develop timely solutions
• Support client retention and account growth through proactive communication, relationship management, and ongoing identification of opportunities
• Maintain accurate client account information, track opportunities, and provide regular updates on account activity, revenue, and client needs
• Partner with business development and leadership teams to support account planning, renewals, and opportunities for additional business
• Stay informed of industry trends, client business developments, and emerging opportunities to provide relevant insights and recommendations
• Represent Fusion at client meetings, industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities as needed
• Support the successful transition of new clients from business development to account management and program delivery teams
• Contribute to established client retention, satisfaction, and account growth goals
• Travel as needed for client meetings, programs, and industry events
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• 3+ years of experience in account management, client services, project management, or a related role
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and deliver exceptional customer service
• Experience managing multiple client accounts, projects, and priorities while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail
• Ability to understand client objectives, identify needs, and recommend creative, results-driven solutions
• Experience coordinating proposals, presentations, budgets, and client deliverables in collaboration with internal teams
• Strong understanding of account management principles, including client retention, relationship development, and account growth
• Working knowledge of key industry vendors and partners, including hotels and destination management companies (DMCs)
• Strong familiarity with travel program operations, corporate meetings and events, incentive programs, or related services
• Ability to confidently lead client conversations, manage expectations, and communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to balance multiple deadlines and competing priorities
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, growing agency environment while balancing client needs and agency business objectives
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with clients, industry partners, and internal teams
• Creative and analytical problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering solutions and results

• Self-starter who takes ownership of client relationships and responsibilities while recognizing when to involve internal teams or leadership

• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneDrive)
• Knowledge of the meetings, events, incentive travel, or channel and loyalty industries
• Ability and desire to travel
