Vice President of Project Management

Umbra develops technology to identify applicable regulatory obligations and build and operate compliance programs. The Vice President of Project Management leads project and program management across the company, overseeing complex initiatives, governance, resource allocation, and delivery aligned with company strategy and regulatory product roadmaps.

Responsibilities:

• The Vice President of Project Management is a full-time, remote leadership role responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, cross-functional initiatives across Umbra
• This role leads project and program managers, sets standards for project planning and governance, and ensures alignment with company strategy and regulatory product roadmaps
• Day-to-day responsibilities include defining project scopes and timelines, managing budgets and resource allocation, monitoring risks and dependencies, and coordinating with product, engineering, operations, and compliance teams to drive successful outcomes
• The Vice President of Project Management will also implement best practices, track performance metrics, and continuously improve processes to support scalable growth and high-quality delivery

Requirements:

• Candidates should possess strong Program Management and Project Management skills, including experience leading complex, multi-team initiatives
• Candidates should possess robust Project Planning and Budgeting skills to define scopes, timelines, resource plans, and financial forecasts
• Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to interpret data, assess risks, prioritize initiatives, and inform strategic decisions
• Extensive experience in project or program leadership roles within technology, SaaS, or compliance-focused environments
• Proven ability to build, mentor, and manage high-performing project management teams in a remote or distributed setting
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and cross-functional partners
• Familiarity with regulatory, compliance, or risk management domains is highly beneficial
• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field
• relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP)
