Full Stack Engineer

Mirai Technology is hiring a part-time, US-based Full-Stack Software Engineer to serve as the technical lead and client-facing partner for client projects. The role leads client meetings, shapes solutions and architecture, and guides the development team while contributing hands-on across the stack.

Responsibilities:

• Design system architecture and choose the technology stack for client projects
• Review code, pull requests and technical designs from the development team
• Set engineering standards for quality, security, testing and documentation
• Build hands-on across the stack, from UI to APIs and databases, to prototype, debug or unblock the hardest problems
• Lead client meetings: discovery calls, technical deep dives, status reviews and demos
• Turn business needs into technical requirements, estimates and scope
• Explain trade-offs, risks and technical decisions in plain language
• Break client work into clear, prioritized tasks with acceptance criteria
• Run a short weekly sync with the development team
• Flag scope changes, slipping deadlines or technical risks early, with options
• Keep promises to clients consistent with what the team can deliver

Requirements:

• Based in the United States
• 10+ years of professional software engineering, including senior or lead roles
• Track record designing and shipping web or mobile applications end to end
• Strong across front end and back end, such as [React/TypeScript with Node.js, Python or .NET], plus SQL and NoSQL databases
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) and CI/CD
• Confident leading client meetings and explaining technical work in plain language
• Experience leading offshore or distributed development teams
• Background in consulting, agency or white-label delivery
• Experience as a tech lead, architect or fractional CTO
