Business Development Manager – International Markets

Unitech Chemicals USA manufactures drilling fluid additives for water-based and oil-based drilling systems. The Business Development Manager – International Markets will expand the company’s customer base and revenue across global regions by developing customer relationships, pursuing market opportunities, and coordinating product offerings with internal teams.

Responsibilities:

• The Business Development Manager – International Markets is a remote, contract role responsible for expanding Unitech Chemicals USA’s customer base and revenue across key global regions
• This position includes identifying and qualifying new market opportunities, developing and executing business development plans, and building relationships with distributors, operators, and service companies in the drilling fluids industry
• Day-to-day responsibilities involve conducting market research, preparing commercial proposals, managing sales pipelines, and coordinating closely with internal technical and operations teams to align product offerings with customer requirements
• The role also includes maintaining account-level communication, overseeing contract negotiations in collaboration with leadership, and providing regular performance reporting and forecasts to support strategic decision-making

Requirements:

• Candidates should possess strong Business Planning and New Business Development skills to identify opportunities, create growth strategies, and drive market entry initiatives
• Candidates should possess Market Research and analytical skills to assess international markets, competitor activity, customer needs, and pricing dynamics in drilling fluids
• Candidates should possess Communication and interpersonal skills to present value propositions, negotiate commercial terms, and maintain professional relationships across cultures and time zones
• Candidates should possess Account Management experience to manage key customer portfolios, ensure satisfaction, and support long-term partnership development
• Experience working with international customers, distributors, or agents, ideally in B2B industrial or energy sectors
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
• Proficiency with CRM tools, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and virtual collaboration platforms
• Knowledge of drilling fluids, oil and gas operations, or related chemicals markets is highly beneficial
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered
