Business Analyst

Information Gateways Inc. is hiring a Business Analyst to help ensure software quality and reliability while working with customers to identify functional and technical requirements. The role bridges business stakeholders and development teams, translating requirements into user stories and supporting testing, training, and Agile delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Perform gap analysis between application functionalities and client requirements
• Facilitate meetings with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into user stories for developers
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and development team
• Lead sprint refinement sessions and maintain backlog of work items in Jira
• Assist in creating and maintaining requirements and business process documentations
• Develop test plans, test cases, and testing procedures to conduct testing throughout the entire software development lifecycle
• Develop training materials and deliver training sessions to end users
• Participate in the Agile/Scrum development process

Requirements:

• Active Public Trust clearance is required for this role
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or other related technical fields is required
• 5+ years of experience with software development
• Ability to write SQL queries and create user stories
• Experience with change management and managing system upgrades or releases
• Expertise in Agile methodologies for effective application development
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, or other project management and documentation tools
• Ability to communicate clearly, both verbal and written
• Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and stakeholders to resolve software issues and identify the scope of testing
• SAFE-Agile/Scrum certification is a plus
