Owner Representative/Project Manager

Dwyer Construction Management and Consulting provides owner-side guidance through the construction process. The Owner Representative/Project Manager oversees construction projects on behalf of owners from early planning through closeout and warranty management, leading teams and managing schedules, budgets, quality, and alignment with owner goals and contractual obligations.

Responsibilities:

• The Owner Representative/Project Manager is a role responsible for overseeing, leading, and managing construction projects on behalf of the owner from early vision casting, due diligence, planning, design, construction, commissioning, owner activities, closeout, and warranty management
• This position leads the project team managing project schedules, budgets, and quality standards, ensuring alignment with the owner’s goals and contractual obligations

Requirements:

• Solid project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and tracking milestones
• Experience acting as an owner's representative, with the ability to advocate for client interests and align teams around shared goals
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for leading meetings, managing stakeholders, and producing concise written reports
• Adaptable to fit into a variety of teams
• Ability to interpret construction documents, contracts, drawings, and specifications, and coordinate with design and construction professionals
• Proficiency with common project management and collaboration tools (e.g., MS Project or similar, Excel, cloud-based document sharing)
• Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with attention to detail and follow-through
• Experience in commercial or institutional construction projects
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining accountability, responsiveness, and professionalism
• Commitment to integrity, empathy, and client service, consistent with Dwyer CM&C's values
• owner's rep or construction management consulting background is strongly preferred
