Business Development Analyst Intern - DOD Skillbridge Program

EEC Solutions is seeking a transitioning active-duty service member for a DoD SkillBridge Business Development Analyst internship. The participant will receive supervised training and practical experience in federal market research, capture management, opportunity tracking, solicitation analysis, and government proposal support.

Responsibilities:

• Federal Market Research: Research federal agencies, military commands, customer missions, contract opportunities, acquisition forecasts, and government contracting vehicles
• Business Development and Opportunity Tracking: Assist with maintaining opportunity pipelines, tracking potential contracts, preparing qualification worksheets, and supporting bid/no-bid analysis
• Capture Management Support: Gain exposure to capture planning, opportunity assessments, customer research, and business development coordination
• Government Solicitation Analysis: Learn to review Performance Work Statements (PWS), Statements of Work (SOW), Statements of Objectives (SOO), solicitation instructions, evaluation criteria, and compliance requirements
• Proposal Development Support: Participate in supervised preparation of compliance matrices, solicitation summaries, proposal outlines, technical input trackers, and draft question-and-answer logs
• Business Communications: Develop executive summaries, opportunity briefs, customer research reports, presentations, meeting agendas, and follow-up communications
• Professional Development: Participate in mentor-led instruction, guided learning activities, and practical exercises that strengthen analytical, organizational, communication, and business development skills
• Capstone Project: Complete a comprehensive capture support project demonstrating the ability to research, analyze, qualify, and present a federal contracting opportunity

Requirements:

• This opportunity is open to transitioning service members from all military occupational specialties
• Previous business development or federal contracting experience is not required
• Experience or interest in strategic planning, operations, logistics, intelligence, administration, acquisition, project coordination, or related disciplines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing briefings, reports, or professional correspondence
• Organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple assignments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to conduct research and synthesize information
• Professionalism, initiative, accountability, and a willingness to learn new business processes
• An interest in pursuing a civilian career in federal contracting, business development, capture management, or proposal support
