Head of Product Design

Crexi is hiring a Head of Product Design to lead product design across multiple product lines and shape the strategy and standards of its design organization. The role partners with product, engineering, and sales leaders, develops design systems and research practices, and guides the team’s design vision, accessibility, and use of AI.

Responsibilities:

• Own product design across multiple product lines, setting the strategy and standards for the design team
• Lead and grow a team of designers, through coaching, clear feedback, and structured growth plans
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Sales leadership to align design strategy with our roadmap
• Own the quality, coherence, and business impact of design across the portfolio
• Set the direction for Crexi’s design system, research practice, and accessibility standards
• Define how AI changes the way we design and make sure it shows up in the team’s daily work
• Turn long-range company strategy into a clear design vision and multi-year roadmap
• Represent design in executive planning, communicating strategy, outcomes, and risk
• Own hiring strategy, resourcing, and prioritization across the design team

Requirements:

• 12+ years of product or UX design experience, including organization-level design ownership with focus to lead teams in complex product environments
• Strong leader presence and sharp design judgment across multiple product lines in a SaaS environment
• Deep expertise in scaling design systems, research, accessibility, and design operations
• Expert fluency with Figma, FigJam, prototyping tools, design-system tooling, product analytics platforms (e.g., Amplitude), and Jira/Confluence
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify patterns in complex information, and present insights clearly and accurately
• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Comfortable owning ambiguous, high-impact problems and operates independently, with little day-to-day direction
• An exceptional communicator who provides clear, concise information to stakeholders at every level of the organization, including executive audiences
• A strong, creative problem-solver who can evaluate options and implement effective solutions
• An effective collaborator and team player who builds strong cross-functional working relationships
• A self-starter who owns their own success, takes strong initiative, and is responsive and proactive in identifying and resolving issues
• Excellent at organizing and prioritizing across multiple competing deadlines
• Handles sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
• Experience with commercial real estate, marketplace, or B2B SaaS products is a plus
• Experience with data or analytics products, or an advanced degree in a related field, is a plus
