Senior Application Engineer - Ultrapure Water & Microelectronics

Veolia is seeking a Senior Application Engineer for its MicroElectronics Applications Engineering Team. The role leads client-facing design of ultra-pure water treatment solutions and manages the bid lifecycle, coordinating technical design, cost estimation, approvals, and project handover.

Responsibilities:

• Lead bid strategy development in partnership with Sales, qualifying opportunities and organizing resources to meet submission deadlines
• Translate customer requirements into tailored Veolia solutions, optimizing competitive positioning and value delivery
• Collaborate with Process Engineering to design flowsheet processes that solve complex water treatment challenges
• Develop technical documentation, including P&IDs and proposal materials that clearly communicate solution advantages
• Manage cost estimation by partnering with Sourcing teams to obtain quotes and finalize competitive pricing
• Drive proposal development by leading meetings, reviews, and cross-functional coordination
• Establish project timelines and prioritize deliverables while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines
• Ensure compliance with internal bid development procedures, tracking, and forecasting protocols

Requirements:

• Candidates must have direct experience in high-purity water, UPW systems, or semiconductor water infrastructure
• Minimum 5 years of experience in chemical/mechanical engineering or related discipline
• Proven expertise in ultra pure water treatment technologies
• Demonstrated success in bid/proposal development with strong technical and commercial analysis skills
• Track record in customer-facing technical sales or engineering roles
• Fluency in English (written and verbal)
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
• Experience with contractual terms and conditions analysis
