Database Engineer Contractor

Deloitte is the client supported by this contract role; the posting states that Deloitte is not the employer. The Database Engineer Contractor will design, maintain, and improve database environments, combining PostgreSQL administration with database development, data modeling, and ETL support.

Responsibilities:

• Administer PostgreSQL databases, including configuration, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Design and develop schemas, tables, views, and other database objects
• Create and maintain data models aligned to business and technical requirements
• Analyze database structures and performance; recommend and implement improvements
• Build, maintain, and troubleshoot ETL processes for moving and transforming data
• Support data quality, integrity, security, and availability
• Work with application, analytics, and infrastructure teams on database requirements and solutions
• Document database designs, processes, and operational procedures

Requirements:

• Strong SQL skills
• PostgreSQL administration experience
• Database design and data modeling experience
• Ability to assess database structures and data requirements
• Experience developing or supporting ETL processes
• Clear communication and documentation skills
