Senior Plumbing Engineer/Designer, Data Centers - Remote (U.S.)

AECOM is seeking a Senior Plumbing Engineer/Designer to serve as the Data Center Plumbing Lead for hyperscale data center projects. The role leads plumbing system design, provides technical expertise and quality control, collaborates on specifications and design criteria, and presents solutions to clients.

Responsibilities:

• Serves as lead engineer on hyperscale data center projects
• Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise
• Approves and signs off on work
• Collaborates with other engineers and stakeholders to develop specifications and design criteria
• Provides technical expertise for studies and design efforts
• Presents complex technical solutions to clients
• Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others
• Participates in development of technical proposals
• Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large projects

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 6+ years of experience in building systems engineering, with a primary focus on plumbing system design on large buildings
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit
• Working knowledge of applicable local and national building codes
• Proficient in making engineering calculations, spreadsheets, and report writing
• Must have well-rounded background in plumbing project design and delivery to meet various challenges
• Knowledge of sustainable plumbing design and basic LEED building practices
• Sponsorship for U.S. employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position
• 10+ years of relevant experience
• Licensed Professional Engineer
• Certified in Plumbing Design (CPD)
• Strong written communication, presentation, and client interface skills
