Software Engineer

v/h is developing AI-enabled consumer devices designed to operate locally and reliably. The Software Engineer will build and test back-end services and device logic, integrate AI components, and collaborate with product and hardware teams to improve reliability, performance, and development tooling.

Responsibilities:

• Designing, implementing, and testing back-end services and device logic, writing clean and maintainable code, and integrating AI components into product workflows
• Collaborate with product and hardware teams to define technical requirements, ensure reliable local operation, and optimize performance and resource usage
• Troubleshooting issues, improving system architecture, and contributing to documentation and tooling that support ongoing development and deployment

Requirements:

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and systems concepts
• Experience with Software Development and Programming in at least one modern language (e.g., Python, Go, Rust, C++, or similar)
• Proficiency in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, services, and integration with cloud or edge components
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and their practical application in production code
• Comfort working with embedded or resource-constrained environments, or interest in learning these domains
• Ability to design, debug, and maintain reliable systems that can operate offline and with minimal user intervention
• Effective remote collaboration skills, including clear written communication and familiarity with modern development tools (version control, issue tracking, CI/CD)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience with AI/ML integration, edge computing, or consumer hardware products is a plus
