SW Development Engineer 1

Dexcom develops continuous glucose monitoring technology to improve health outcomes. The Software Development Engineer contributes to end-to-end development of Dexcom Clarity, collaborating with cross-functional teammates to build software that supports doctors and people with diabetes.

Responsibilities:

• You participate in end-to-end development, including coding, testing, debugging, and deployments
• You collaborate with testers, designers, and our product owner
• You evaluate the tradeoffs of technical choices, and participate in decision making
• You participate in daily stand-ups, and biweekly retrospectives
• You explore & grow in our weekly Learning Labs
• You embrace developer autonomy in our biweekly hackathons
• You improve the lives of people with diabetes across the globe
• You empower doctors and patients through your work on Dexcom Clarity

Requirements:

• You have and a desire to learn the key parts of our tech stack: Typescript, Node.js, Ruby, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kubernetes
• You prefer working in a collaborative, highly communicative, team environment
• You're excited to make iterative improvements to our product every day
• You are eager to learn and love to stay up to date with the latest technology
• You're comfortable asking for help to solve tough problems
• You believe that good testing is critical to creating good software
• You are comfortable supporting and coaching others
• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 0-2 years related experience
