Senior Operations Data Analyst

University of Phoenix seeks a Senior Operations Data Analyst to conduct business analysis and operations research that inform strategic direction and executive decision-making. The role develops analyses, reports, and dashboards; collaborates with stakeholders; and provides insights for strategy reviews, budget planning, and operational improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to higher education trends, student enrollment, retention, and graduation rates to produce high quality research and reports to inform data-driven decision making and provide insight into development of strategic direction; Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide data-driven insights to support strategic initiatives
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security by implementing appropriate data governance practices and protocols
• Identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in data to identify areas of improvement and make recommendations for operational efficiency. Effectively Lead continuous improvement in area(s) of responsibility through effective operational monitoring
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and through visually appealing data visualizations
• Develop and maintain operational reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights to support decision-making
• Conduct ad-hoc data analysis to answer specific business questions and provide actionable recommendations
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and business intelligence in the higher education industry
• Perform other duties as assigned or apparent

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Five (5) years of experience in business analytics, business intelligence, and/or operations research
• Master's degree in a related field such as data analytics, business intelligence, statistics, or a similar discipline
• Strong knowledge of data analysis techniques, statistical methodologies, and data visualization tools
• Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
• Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes, and experience with omnichannel contact data reporting and analytics
• Experience using AI and automation tools to enhance analytical and operational workflows, including research, data analysis, reporting, documentation, and process improvement
• Demonstrated curiosity for emerging AI capabilities and a willingness to thoughtfully apply new technologies while exercising sound business judgement
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
• Effective written and verbal communicate skills to review and explain complex data findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
