Business Intelligence Analyst

Chaffin Luhana LLP is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to turn financial and operational data into insights that support firm-wide decision-making. The role develops dashboards and KPI reporting, analyzes profitability and performance, and provides actionable analysis to firm leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance management dashboards and reporting using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI
• Work with the equity partners, Fractional COO, Fractional CFO, Director of Finance, Comptroller, and department leaders to define, calculate, and report meaningful financial and operational KPIs
• Analyze profitability across the firm’s practice areas, and departments, including revenue, direct expenses, allocated costs, and contribution margins
• Develop reporting to evaluate profitability by case type, matter, and other relevant case characteristics
• Analyze attorney production, staffing costs, productivity, and other measures of attorney-level financial performance
• Partner with Marketing to evaluate acquisition costs, conversion rates, marketing ROI, and profitability by marketing channel or campaign
• Develop departmental scorecards and analysis to help firm leaders understand their financial and operational performance
• Support targeted financial and operational analysis requested by leadership

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field
• A minimum of 8 years' experience in senior financial managerial positions
• Strong understanding of business intelligence, financial and operational analytics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and performance reporting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and translate findings into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, data visualization tools, databases, and financial and operational reporting systems, with experience integrating data from multiple sources
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong knowledge of data analysis and risk management
• High ethical standards and professionalism, with a commitment to confidentiality
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Problem-solving mindset, with the ability to identify process improvements and implement solutions

• An MBA, CPA, or similar qualification is highly desirable
