Colocation Product Manager (Remote)

DataBank is hiring a Colocation Product Manager to analyze its product portfolio, support commercial sales, and develop product positioning and growth strategies. The role includes financial analysis, product improvements and expansions, customer and market engagement, and communicating recommendations to senior leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Ownership of product definitions, positioning and value proposition development, pricing and commercial guidelines, competitive analysis
• Responsible for site and product level financial analysis and business recommendations resulting from such analysis
• Ownership of business cases for product enhancements and developments
• Responsibility for project managing product initiatives across stakeholder organizations
• Subject matter expert providing evangelism of product vision and thought leadership to progress product roadmap
• Enable sales organization with knowledge, resources, and materials to drive product growth strategy

Requirements:

• Prior product support experience and knowledge of industry technology and terminology, as well as proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint, are required
• the ability to integrate quickly into CRM software and manage a complex workload in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment
• Undergraduate B.A. or B.S. degree
• MBA and/or equivalent work experience with proven ability to work across functional boundaries
• Minimum 3-5 years of commercial product management experience in the telecommunications industry
• Well-developed knowledge of financial analysis, interpretation, and reporting to include calculation of IRR, profit margin, EBITDA and payback period
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to write product definitions, reports and prepare presentations and proposals
• Must possess ability to effectively train colleagues and present information
• Proficiency in the MS Office suite with emphasis on Excel
• Requires an individual who is detail-oriented with superb organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
• Requires ability to be flexible with work schedule and to work to meet strict deadlines with limited supervision
• Focused area of study in Business, Finance or Economics
• Prior experience in colocation and/or managed services is beneficial
• Knowledge of Salesforce platform is a plus
