QA Automation Engineer

ECS is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to develop and execute testing strategies for web applications, APIs, data platforms, and third-party integrations. The role includes test automation, functional and performance testing, UAT coordination, security and access-control validation, defect tracking, and release-readiness reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans covering functional, integration, end-to-end, performance, regression, and user acceptance testing
• Define test strategies, test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and release readiness metrics in collaboration with project stakeholders
• Design, develop, and execute automated test suites for web applications, APIs, and integrated workflows
• Perform end-to-end testing across frontend applications, APIs, Databricks environments, and third-party platform integrations
• Validate integrations spanning web applications, backend services, data platforms, and external systems
• Execute functional testing across multiple user personas and business workflows
• Coordinate and facilitate multiple rounds of User Acceptance Testing (UAT), document findings, validate remediation efforts, and support final release approvals
• Design and execute performance and load testing using tools such as Locust, validating system behavior under concurrent user activity and identifying performance bottlenecks
• Perform regression testing to ensure software quality and system stability prior to production releases
• Validate role-based access controls, security requirements, governance controls, and data access restrictions
• Identify, document, classify, and track software defects through resolution
• Collaborate with engineers, TPMs, product owners, and customer stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle
• Produce testing reports, quality metrics, defect summaries, and release recommendations
• Utilize Jira and Confluence to manage testing activities, document results, and track defects and remediation efforts

Requirements:

• experience in end-to-end testing, test automation, performance testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• experience validating complex web applications, APIs, data platforms, and third-party integrations
• hands-on experience with automation frameworks and testing tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Python-based testing solutions, Jira, Confluence, and performance testing tools such as Locust
• Active Secret Clearance
• Experience with UAT (User Acceptance Testing)
• Strong background in Software Quality Assurance (SW QA)
• Ability to translate business requirements into effective test cases
• Experience identifying and documenting defects clearly and concisely
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Effective communication skills for cross‑team collaboration
