Business Development Manager - Civil Engineering & Infrastructure

Foresight Spatial Labs is hiring its first Business Development Manager to grow its business with civil engineering firms, earthworks contractors, infrastructure owners, and related software companies. The role focuses on generating and closing sales of software licensing and custom development, managing customer evaluations and negotiations, and shaping the sales approach through customer feedback.

Responsibilities:

• Generate new business through direct outreach, industry relationships, events, and referrals
• Identify customer problems, budgets, decision-makers, and purchasing timelines
• Use your domain knowledge to explain the commercial value of Foresight technology to engineering, operations, and software teams
• Collaborate with our technical team on demonstrations, proposals, and customer evaluations
• Establish clear evaluation criteria and convert successful evaluations into paid agreements
• Lead negotiations, maintain accurate sales forecasts, and develop customer relationships
• Help shape our sales approach and product priorities through customer feedback

Requirements:

• A record of winning new B2B business in technical software, engineering services, or industrial technology
• Experience selling into civil engineering, construction, infrastructure, or related industries
• Confidence managing technical evaluations and sales involving several decision-makers
• The ability to generate your own opportunities and work independently
• Clear communication, commercial judgment, and consistent follow-through
• You do not need to write code, but you must be comfortable learning how our technology works
• Experience with geospatial software, surveying, CAD/BIM, digital twins, or engineering simulation is useful
