We are seeking an experienced Pipeline Facilities Engineer to lead the engineering, design review, and technical integration of natural gas transmission facilities, including pipeline interconnects, metering and regulating (M&R) stations, mainline valve assemblies, pig launcher and receiver facilities, and SCADA systems.
The successful candidate will support the development of a natural gas pipeline hub connecting multiple pipeline systems at a common delivery and pressure regulation location. This role requires strong technical expertise in natural gas transmission facilities, custody transfer metering, pressure regulation, pipeline automation, and facility design, along with the ability to oversee engineering consultants, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and support construction and commissioning activities.
The ideal candidate will prioritize safety, regulatory compliance, constructability, operational reliability, and long-term system performance.
Lead engineering activities for natural gas pipeline hub and interconnect facility development.
Evaluate pipeline operating pressures, hydraulic requirements, flow balancing, and operating conditions across interconnected pipeline systems.
Develop and review facility operating philosophies for gas receipt, delivery, pressure control, isolation, and emergency response.
Assess operational flexibility, system reliability, and future expansion requirements.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
7+ years of experience in natural gas pipeline facilities engineering, metering and regulating station design, or gas transmission system engineering.
Direct experience with natural gas transmission facilities, pipeline interconnects, metering and regulating stations, and custody transfer measurement systems.
Experience with mainline valve assemblies, pig launcher and receiver facilities, pressure regulation, and overpressure protection systems.
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Experience with interstate natural gas pipeline systems and multi-pipeline hub facilities.
