Global Process Engineering Authority – Press Cure Stator Bar Manufacturing

GE Vernova is hiring a Global Process Engineering Authority for press cure stator bar manufacturing. The role develops and deploys global standards for manufacturing equipment and processes, drives reliability and cost improvements, and supports new technology and process introductions across the Generator Value Stream.

Responsibilities:

• Define, control, communicate global processes for manufacturing assets, including facility integration, acceptance testing, machine health checks & calibrations, preventative maintenance plans, spare parts strategy, technical & technology training
• Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new processes. Including EHS, Manufacturing Engineers, Engineering, Quality, Materials, Industrialization, Materials, and Sourcing
• Develop and implement reliability improvement strategies using industry best practices such as FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Collaborate with maintenance, operations, engineering, and safety teams to design and implement preventive and predictive programs
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for equipment reliability, and track progress against targets
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing equipment downtime and improve quality processes
• Lead investigations into failures and chronic issues, identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions
• Provide technical support for asset management, including equipment life cycle analysis and spare parts optimization
• Participating in the design and installation of new equipment and implementation of processes, ensuring reliability is considered from the outset (Design for Reliability)
• Requires specialized knowledge within the function. Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and influences policy formulation
• Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work
• Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 10 years of industrial experience in manufacturing or quality OR a High School Diploma / GED with at least 15 years of industrial experience in manufacturing or quality
• 5 years of generator manufacturing experience
• Strong knowledge of engineering concepts and quality processes
• Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, drawings, and schematics
• Project Management skills and experience
• Experience working cross functionally and Co-leading the implementation of manufacturing systems that support Next Generation Supply Chain migration globally across the Generator Value Stream
• Experience utilizing design for Six Sigma methodology (DFSS), including, measuring existing machine capability, analyzing process requirements, and developing a strategy to maintain / improve process yield
• Ability to deploy lean principles, including, Transformation Planning, 3P (Production Preparation Process), Total Productive Maintenance, Standard Work, Kaizen, Problem Solving, and Poka Yoke
• Has comprehensive knowledge of underlying principles, approaches, and methodology
