Vice President of Market Development and Product Management

Balingore Invest is seeking a Vice President to lead market development initiatives, product strategy, and growth execution. The role identifies market opportunities, manages product priorities and lifecycle, and coordinates cross-functional teams to support market expansion and organizational growth.

Responsibilities:

• Lead market expansion and product management strategies in alignment with the organization's business objectives and long-term growth plans
• Identify and evaluate new geographic markets, customer segments, industry verticals, and commercial opportunities
• Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer assessments to identify unmet needs and opportunities for differentiation
• Develop product strategies, roadmaps, and portfolio priorities based on market demand, customer feedback, competitive positioning, and business objectives
• Oversee product lifecycle management, from opportunity identification and concept development through launch, performance evaluation, and continuous improvement
• Partner with executive leadership to establish market expansion priorities, product investment plans, resource requirements, and measurable performance targets
• Work with Product and Engineering teams to translate market requirements into product specifications, feature priorities, and development plans
• Coordinate with Marketing and Sales to develop go-to-market strategies, product positioning, pricing approaches, and customer acquisition initiatives
• Collaborate with Business Development to evaluate strategic partnerships, distribution channels, and commercial relationships that support market entry and expansion
• Develop business cases and financial assessments for new products, market entry initiatives, and product enhancements
• Evaluate product pricing, packaging, features, and positioning to improve competitiveness and commercial performance
• Establish KPIs and reporting frameworks to monitor market penetration, product adoption, revenue contribution, customer engagement, and growth performance
• Analyze product performance and market feedback to identify improvement opportunities and inform future development priorities
• Coordinate cross-functional product launches and market expansion projects, ensuring alignment on timelines, budgets, resources, and operational readiness
• Assess market-specific business requirements and collaborate with Compliance, Legal, Risk, and Operations to support appropriate review before product launches or market entry
• Monitor competitor activity, industry developments, customer expectations, and emerging trends to refine product and expansion strategies
• Identify gaps in the existing product portfolio and recommend new offerings, capabilities, and enhancements
• Establish standardized processes for evaluating market opportunities, prioritizing product initiatives, managing roadmaps, and reviewing launch performance
• Track major initiatives, identify execution risks and resource constraints, and implement corrective actions to maintain progress
• Prepare executive-level market assessments, product performance reports, strategic recommendations, and investment proposals
• Work with Finance to assess expansion costs, revenue forecasts, resource allocation, and expected business returns
• Build and maintain effective relationships with customers, strategic partners, industry stakeholders, and internal business leaders
• Recruit, lead, mentor, and develop high-performing market expansion and product management teams as organizational needs evolve
• Promote a culture of customer focus, data-driven decision-making, commercial accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement

Requirements:

• 20+ years of progressive experience in product management, market expansion, product strategy, commercial strategy, business development, or a related field
• Significant leadership experience overseeing product portfolios, market development initiatives, product strategy teams, or cross-functional growth programs
• Demonstrated success identifying market opportunities and translating research and customer insights into practical business and product strategies
• Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, roadmap development, product positioning, go-to-market planning, and launch execution
• Experience launching new products, expanding into new markets, entering new customer segments, or scaling existing product offerings
• Strong analytical capabilities, including market sizing, competitive analysis, customer research, product performance analysis, and commercial forecasting
• Experience developing business cases, evaluating investment opportunities, and assessing the financial implications of product and market expansion initiatives
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Business Development, Operations, Finance, Compliance, and executive leadership
• Strong commercial judgment and the ability to balance customer needs, product feasibility, market demand, and organizational priorities
• Experience establishing and monitoring KPIs, product adoption metrics, market growth targets, and revenue performance indicators
• Excellent project and program management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives and competing priorities
• Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate market insights and product recommendations to executive stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and drive initiatives from planning through implementation
• Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to adapt to changing market conditions and business requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Finance, Product Management, or a related field required
• An MBA or other relevant advanced degree is strongly preferred
• Experience in financial services, fintech, payments, banking, brokerage, trading, investment management, technology, or SaaS is a plus
