Mechanical Engineering Intern

Brixenta is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to support product development and laboratory research. The intern will help design, prototype, test, and validate mechanical components and assemblies for advanced industrial and scientific instrumentation products.

Responsibilities:

• In this role, you will report to the Flow Solutions Engineering Manager
• You will gain hands-on experience with mechanical design, CAD modeling, engineering analysis, prototype development, product testing, and design documentation while collaborating closely with senior engineers
• Supporting mechanical design, prototype build, design validation, and troubleshooting activities
• Assisting in the design and evaluation of mechanical components and assemblies for flow-control products
• Developing and executing test procedures to verify mechanical functionality, reliability, and performance
• Creating and updating 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and design documentation
• Assisting with engineering analysis, dimensional inspection, and troubleshooting using laboratory and measurement equipment
• Documenting designs, calculations, test results, and development activities to support engineering projects

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Basic understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, manufacturing processes, and engineering mechanics
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling and engineering drawings
• Familiarity with mechanical measurement and inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Junior standing (typically completed core mechanical engineering coursework)
