AI Engineering Intern (unpaid)

Leorna is building AI-powered solutions for human memory, knowledge, and intelligent automation. The AI Engineering Intern will prototype, build, and deploy AI features using LLMs, APIs, and agent workflows while developing backend services and evaluating product quality. The role also focuses on creating responsive interfaces, visualizations, human-in-the-loop workflows, and streaming integrations for AI-powered web applications.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy responsive, premium user interfaces for AI-powered web applications
• Build intuitive visualization components that allow users to understand complex data scopes, memory layers, and AI context
• Develop robust human-in-the-loop workflows (e.g., approval and redaction screens for data promotion)
• Integrate real-time, streaming API endpoints to handle LLM responses smoothly without UI degradation
• Collaborate with backend engineers and product leadership to ensure a seamless end-to-end user experience
• Participate in UI/UX design discussions, code reviews, and rapid prototyping for the alpha launch
• Maintain clean, documented, and reusable component libraries
