Senior DevOps Engineer (V)

Blue Coding is a fully remote technology staffing company that connects engineers with clients across the Americas. The company is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to modernize on-premises infrastructure into a cloud-native, serverless AWS environment and automate CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, deployments, and monitoring. The role also involves security, documentation, cross-functional collaboration, and mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS
• Lead and support the migration of on-premises systems to a cloud-native, serverless architecture
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket Pipelines and automate deployment processes
• Provision and manage cloud resources with Terraform, keeping infrastructure versioned, reproducible, and consistent across environments
• Help drive the shift from traditional DevOps practices toward platform engineering, building internal tools that support the development teams
• Set up monitoring to keep systems reliable, and find and resolve performance bottlenecks
• Work alongside development, security, and operations teams, keeping communication clear and timely
• Apply security best practices, run regular security audits and vulnerability assessments, and help keep the platform compliant with industry standards
• Keep documentation of infrastructure, processes, and tools up to date
• Share knowledge and mentor junior team members

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field, or equivalent hands-on DevOps experience
• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps role within software organizations
• Proven experience with AWS services and cloud migration projects
• Extensive experience with CI/CD tools, particularly Bitbucket Pipelines
• Strong proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code
• Solid knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
• Excellent communication skills
