Data Analyst Lead

Progressive Insurance is seeking a Lead Data Analyst to support and improve the onboarding customer experience on the Journeys Customer Intelligence team. The role focuses on customer insights, experimentation, analytical solutions, and using AI and automation to accelerate insights and solve business problems.

Responsibilities:

• Support and improve the onboarding customer experience
• Leads initiatives with measurable business impact, delivering more than $40 million in lifetime underwriting profit (LUP)
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate insights, automate workflows, and build innovative solutions
• Help design experiments, uncover customer insights, develop analytical solutions, and explore new ways to apply AI and automation to solve meaningful business problems

Requirements:

• A minimum of eight years of analytical work experience
• Bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of seven years of analytical work experience
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field of study and a minimum of five years analytical work experience

• Strong analytical foundation with proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Python
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, VS Code AI extensions, Snowflake Cortex, Claude Code, or similar technologies
• Demonstrated ability to validate, troubleshoot, and ensure the accuracy of AI-generated outputs
• Understanding of statistical concepts, experimental design, and A/B testing methodologies
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex analyses into actionable recommendations
