Sr. AI Engineer

Bowdark Consulting is a team of problem-solvers delivering technology solutions for clients. The Senior AI Engineer will lead client engagements to identify business value from AI and agent technologies, design and deploy copilots and custom agents, integrate them with enterprise systems, and guide solutions from pilot through production.

Responsibilities:

• Lead discovery sessions and use-case workshops with client stakeholders to identify where AI and agents can deliver measurable business value
• Reimagine business processes and user experiences around AI capabilities, working with clients to redesign workflows rather than simply automating existing steps
• Design, build, and deploy custom agents and copilots using Copilot Studio, Microsoft Foundry, and Azure AI services
• Extend Microsoft 365 Copilot and build agent experiences into Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and other productivity tools
• Integrate AI solutions with client business systems (ERP, CRM, and line-of-business apps) and data sources using Microsoft Graph, Power Platform connectors, APIs, and Model Context Protocol (MCP)
• Evaluate and select the right foundation models for each scenario — including frontier models from Anthropic and OpenAI — balancing capability, cost, latency, and data governance
• Implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompt engineering, and orchestration patterns that ground AI in trusted enterprise data
• Establish evaluation, testing, and monitoring practices to ensure AI solutions are accurate, safe, and reliable in production
• Apply responsible AI, security, and governance best practices, including identity, data access controls, and compliance requirements
• Guide clients from pilot to production, putting in place the architecture, deployment pipelines, and operating model needed to scale AI across the organization
