Project Manager

Derflan, Inc. is a boutique consulting firm serving high-tech clients such as Microsoft. The company is seeking a Mid-Level Project Manager to support long-term Microsoft contract opportunities by leading cross-functional projects, managing schedules and deliverables, coordinating stakeholders, and driving initiatives from initiation through completion.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the project lifecycle from initiation through completion, ensuring successful delivery in alignment with client objectives and timelines
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, requirements, milestones, and deliverables
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, resource requirements, and supporting documentation
• Drive project schedules and monitor progress against established milestones and deliverables
• Identify, track, and mitigate project risks, dependencies, and issues, escalating when appropriate
• Produce clear and timely project status reports, updates, presentations, and other stakeholder communications
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across project teams, business partners, and key stakeholders
• Coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure projects remain on schedule and aligned with business objectives
• Support decision-making by gathering, organizing, and presenting relevant project data and insights
• Implement project management best practices and identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and overall project outcomes

Requirements:

• Microsoft experience required
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3–5+ years of project management experience
• Prior experience working with Microsoft is required
• Demonstrated experience managing medium- to large-scale projects and cross-functional initiatives
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, processes, and tools
• Proven ability to manage project schedules, deliverables, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• preferably within technology or similarly fast-paced environments
• PMP or other relevant project management certification is a plus
