Americas-Software Engineer III

The confidential hiring company is seeking a Software Engineer III to support software-defined storage initiatives in cloud-native environments. The role focuses on deploying and operationalizing storage platforms, automating infrastructure operations, developing observability solutions, collaborating across teams, and resolving complex production issues.

Responsibilities:

• Deploy, configure, and manage software-defined storage platforms within Kubernetes environments
• Evaluate and prototype SDS technologies; contribute to platform selection and architecture decisions
• Automate deployment, upgrades, and operations using scripting and infrastructure tools
• Develop monitoring dashboards, alerting strategies, and operational runbooks
• Collaborate with various teams on integration and hardening efforts
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex storage and infrastructure issues in production

Requirements:

• 5 years of hands-on experience in storage or infrastructure engineering
• Proven experience with distributed or large-scale storage systems
• Strong skills in software-defined storage deployment and operations
• Proficiency in Kubernetes storage infrastructure deployment
• Experience in scripting and automation for infrastructure tasks
• Linux systems administration expertise
• Understanding of distributed systems architecture
• Experience with S3-compatible object storage protocols
• Familiarity with observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana
• Knowledge of security concepts relevant to storage
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices
• Background in supporting large-scale production environments
