Legal & Business Operations Analyst

GC AI is a legal AI platform built for in-house legal teams. The Legal & Business Operations Analyst will improve legal, business, and IT operations by building scalable workflows, managing knowledge systems and vendors, coordinating cross-functional projects, and directing an external IT team.

Responsibilities:

• Improve Legal’s use of GC AI. Build, maintain, and move repetitive work into scalable workflows
• Support Legal’s technology, vendor, and outside-counsel portfolio. Track owners, spend, renewals, deadlines, and overlapping tools
• Build reporting that shows how Legal work moves, where requests stall, and which improvements have the greatest impact. You’ll also work with our product team to make GC AI even better!
• Own Notion and the company’s internal knowledge-management system. Build clear structures, manage permissions, and keep important content current
• Improve company-wide processes involving vendors, procurement, onboarding, shared systems, and cross-functional handoffs
• Build forms, templates, automations, and lightweight workflows that make recurring work faster and more consistent
• Project-manage selected cross-functional initiatives involving any department across the company
• Direct the day-to-day work of our external IT team. Set priorities, track open items, and hold the team accountable for follow-through
• Coordinate selected IT projects and operational improvements based on company priorities
• Partner with Engineering, Security, and People on projects involving access, systems, integrations, devices, and employee lifecycle changes
• Maintain clear IT processes, documentation, project plans, and escalation paths so employees know where to go for help

Requirements:

• You have 1-3 years of experience in legal operations, business operations, or program coordination
• You have owned a recurring process or project from beginning to end and can explain what improved
• You have built forms, automations, templates, dashboards, or knowledge systems, rather than only using someone else's
• You are comfortable working with SaaS tools, permissions, integrations, provisioning, and operational workflows
• You can coordinate external service providers and internal stakeholders without formal authority
• You manage timelines, owners, dependencies, and follow-ups without letting important work fall through the cracks
• You write clearly and make complex processes easy for others to understand and follow
• You have sound judgment about what you can resolve and what requires immediate escalation
• You are AI-native. You use AI tools daily, test their outputs, and iterate rather than accept the first answer
• You naturally document and templatize recurring work. If you've done something twice, you write it down
• You are detail-oriented AF. You catch errors, protect sensitive information, and close loops others miss
• You work well with ambiguity and can create structure without waiting for a complete playbook
• Experience at a startup or high-growth SaaS company
• Experience administering Notion or another company-wide knowledge-management platform
• Experience coordinating work with an external IT provider
• Experience working across Legal, Engineering, Security, People, or Finance
• Experience running a vendor RFP or software-selection process
• Experience with procurement, vendor management, or contract workflows
• Experience building AI-supported workflows, prompts, skills, or intake tools
• Light automation and analysis experience using tools such as Zapier, spreadsheets, or reporting platforms
