Crop Protection Pricing Strategy Manager AB

The Simplot Company is a global food and agriculture company with an integrated portfolio across food processing, agriculture, and related enterprises. The Crop Protection Pricing Strategy Manager develops and implements pricing strategies, analyzes markets and competitors, coordinates the bid process, and provides pricing reporting and guidance to stakeholders and senior management.

Responsibilities:

• Market Analysis and Research: Analyze market trends, monitor price fluctuations and changes that could affect pricing. Research competitors by tracking average vendor prices and competitor prices. Understand customer demand to gauge what customers are willing to pay for products or services
• Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with all sales leaders, other pricing directors, and external resources to understand manufacturing costs and other factors influencing pricing. Partner with procurement to align on market conditions and cost factors
• Pricing Strategy Development: Develop and implement pricing strategies using market, competitor, and internal data. Leverage organizational best practices and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs),including segmentation and Advisor 3.0, to optimize pricing models
• Price Adjustment and Implementation: Update prices as needed to reflect market changes and ensure alignment with company goals. Implement pricing guidelines and procedures in line with company objectives
• Bid Process Coordination: Oversee the bid process, ensuring timely and competitive bid submissions. Manage bid documentation and ensure accurate reporting of bid outcomes and performance
• Reporting and Analysis: Develop and maintain detailed pricing reports to monitor performance, identify trends, and support decision-making. Provide regular updates and analyses to senior management on pricing strategies, performance metrics, and market conditions

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university
• 8+ years related experience and/or training
• Proven experience in pricing strategy, market analysis, and financial modeling
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively across divisions and with various stakeholders
• Proficiency in pricing software and tools, including segmentation and Advisor 3.0
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement long-term pricing strategies
• Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation to drive pricing decisions
• Collaboration: Strong team player with the ability to work across divisions and functions
• Market Insight: Deep understanding of market trends, competitor behavior, and industry standards
