Project Manager/ Estimator

AK HR Solutions, LLC is recruiting for a specialty contractor involved in building envelope, masonry, and restoration. The Project Manager/Estimator will lead regional construction projects, perform site evaluations and estimating, manage project execution from pre-construction through close-out, and coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and senior management.

Responsibilities:

• Visit sites throughout the region (and occasional locations beyond the mid-Atlantic) for the exclusive client base to evaluate existing conditions and determine the best solutions to address their current and future facade needs
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and develop accurate estimates
• Review estimates with senior management and/or peers as required, and provide value engineering options / "out of the box" ideas for access, materials, means and methods, etc
• Produce proposals, revisions, change orders, etc. as needed for all phases from pre-construction through close-out
• Buy out projects for materials, equipment, and subcontractor requirements
• Communicate and schedule projects with clients
• Provide regular project updates (internal and external) as well as visiting active project sites on a regular basis to ensure quality, safety, scheduling progress, subcontractor / employee compliance, and client satisfaction
• Close-out projects to include punch list coordination, warranty submissions, final walk-throughs, and confirmation of clients' complete satisfaction with every project
• Regular reviews of production, estimating, safety, and compliance protocols with senior management

Requirements:

• 5+ years of construction project management and/or estimating experience
• Strong technical understanding of building envelope science or the demonstrated willingness to learn and apply these concepts
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture or a mix of practical experience and education
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a minimum requirement
• Must have a clean driving record
• Candidates MUST be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
• Experience in the masonry, concrete, building envelope, waterproofing specialties strongly preferred
• Conversational Spanish skills are a bonus
