Director of Sales - Aerospace & Defense (Engineering Services)

The company is seeking a senior business development leader to drive growth for its Aerospace Engineering Services portfolio. The role focuses on developing and closing new business, expanding relationships with Aerospace OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, positioning technical engineering solutions, and managing the full sales process.

Responsibilities:

• Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities for engineering services within the aerospace market
• Leverage and expand an established network of Aerospace OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers to drive sustained revenue growth
• Define and execute a strategic business development plan aligned with the organization's aerospace engineering capabilities
• Lead solution-oriented sales efforts, positioning engineering design, analysis, digital engineering, and testing services to address customer challenges
• Collaborate closely with engineering, delivery, and leadership teams to ensure technical alignment and successful solution delivery
• Own the end-to-end sales process, including opportunity qualification, proposal development, pricing strategy, contract negotiations, and deal closure
• Track industry trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to proactively identify emerging opportunities

Requirements:

• 8–10+ years of experience in business development or sales within engineering services, preferably in aerospace and/or defense
• Demonstrated success selling engineering, design, or technology-driven services to Aerospace OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers
• Strong existing relationships within key aerospace accounts and a proven ability to open new doors
• Solid technical and commercial understanding, with the ability to translate complex engineering solutions into clear business value
• Excellent executive-level communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline
• Self-motivated, results-oriented leader who thrives in a remote environment and collaborates effectively across global teams
• Willingness to travel within the Eastern U.S. and internationally as required
• MBA preferred
