Associate Full-Stack Platform Engineer

Boston Insights is building a data-powered SaaS Clinical Supply Control Tower to improve the delivery of investigational drugs in clinical trials. The Associate Full-Stack Platform Engineer will initially focus on cloud platform and DevOps responsibilities, including infrastructure automation, CI/CD, environment orchestration, and data validation, before progressing into backend and frontend product development.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the deployment and optimization of Terraform and Bicep modules to ensure all environments are idempotent, repeatable, and globally scalable
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of robust YAML-based pipelines within Azure DevOps, ensuring consistent and secure code-to-cloud delivery
• Utilize migration utilities and scripts to ensure database schemas and application environments remain synchronized with software versioning cycles
• Develop automated scripts to populate testing environments with sophisticated synthetic datasets, enabling rigorous platform verification while upholding strict data privacy standards
• Contribute to backend and frontend feature sets using modern frameworks such as Node.js, .NET, or React
• Leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) and automated agents to accelerate feature delivery, unit testing, and comprehensive technical documentation
• Develop synthetic transaction monitors and observability dashboards to ensure continuous platform health and a seamless user experience

Requirements:

• Foundational knowledge of Azure (or AWS/GCP equivalents) with a commitment to attaining Azure expert-level proficiency
• Practical experience with Python, PowerShell, or Bash for task automation and system utility development
• Experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, LLMs) to accelerate learning and troubleshoot complex system logic
• Competency in Git-based workflows, including branching strategies, pull request management, and code review participation
• 1–2 years of relevant technical experience or a significant portfolio demonstrating the ability to deploy functional, containerized applications
• A commitment to maintaining standardized documentation that ensures system transparency, reproducibility, and knowledge transfer
• A strong aptitude for executing structured technical roadmaps with precision and a focus on continuous process improvement
