Water & Wastewater Engineering Project Manager

Consor is an engineering firm delivering infrastructure solutions for communities throughout California. The Project Manager will lead the planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, overseeing technical execution, budgets, schedules, contracts, and multidisciplinary teams. The role also involves client advising, business development, regulatory compliance, and practice growth.

Responsibilities:

• Drive project execution strategies, proactively identifying risks, resolving challenges, and implementing solutions to keep projects on track and within scope
• Develop and monitor detailed project work plans, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure efficient use of time and financial performance
• Lead client presentations, workshops, and stakeholder meetings, translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, permitting requirements, and industry standards throughout all project phases
• Oversee contract management activities, including scope development, negotiations, change orders, and documentation
• Champion continuous improvement by implementing best practices, innovative technologies, and process enhancements across projects
• Partner with business development teams to identify new opportunities, contribute to proposals, and support project pursuits and interviews
• Monitor project financials, including forecasting, invoicing, and profitability analysis, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between engineering, environmental, planning, and construction teams to deliver integrated solutions
• Act as a strategic advisor to clients, providing guidance on long-term infrastructure planning, capital improvement programs, and system optimization

Requirements:

• Candidates must reside in California and hold an active California PE license
• Experience managing the planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects
• Proven ability to manage project scope, schedule, budget, and multidisciplinary teams
• Experience building and maintaining client relationships and supporting business development efforts
• Bachelor of Science in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or a related engineering discipline
• 10+ years of water and wastewater engineering experience
• Active California Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D is preferred but not required
