Project Manager - Telecom Services

Vivant provides managed connectivity solutions, including internet, VoIP, managed networks, and security services. The Project Manager will lead Project Coordinators and oversee the end-to-end delivery of VoIP, ISP, and network projects while managing clients, vendors, timelines, risks, and service quality.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee a team of Project Coordinators responsible for customer implementations and project delivery
• Manage the full lifecycle of VoIP, ISP, and network deployments across multiple clients and locations
• Provide direction, coaching, and accountability to Project Coordinators to ensure projects stay on track and customer expectations are met
• Review project plans, timelines, milestones, and priorities, making adjustments as needed to ensure successful delivery
• Lead cross-functional coordination between Project Coordinators, field technicians, provisioning, engineering, support, accounting, and sales
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key customer stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
• Serve as an escalation point for complex customer concerns, project risks, and delivery issues
• Ensure Project Coordinators maintain proactive communication with customers and provide timely updates
• Oversee coordination with ISPs, hardware vendors, carriers, subcontractors, and third-party technical partners
• Ensure customer projects are delivered according to agreed timelines, requirements, and quality standards
• Monitor project health, identify risks and blockers, and ensure appropriate action is taken to keep projects moving forward
• Ensure smooth transitions from implementation and installation to billing, support, and ongoing account management
• Standardize and improve project delivery processes, documentation, and workflows
• Identify recurring issues and implement improvements to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction
• Provide regular updates to the Lead Project Manager and leadership on project status, team performance, risks, escalations, and KPIs
• Monitor project and team performance and provide coaching and feedback where needed
• Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure the team consistently updates PM, CRM, and business management systems such as Utiliko
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure priorities and expectations remain aligned

Requirements:

• No People Management Experience: You have not previously managed, supervised, or directly led a team or direct reports
• Not Customer-Facing: You're looking for an internal coordination or administrative role rather than owning customer relationships, escalations, and project outcomes
• Not Project Management: Your experience is primarily administrative, task-based, or support-focused rather than managing projects from planning through completion
• Not a Team Leader: You're not comfortable providing direction, coaching, prioritization, and accountability to team members
• Not an Owner: You prefer detailed direction over taking initiative, making decisions, removing blockers, and driving projects and teams independently
• Not Vendor/Technical Coordination: You haven't coordinated vendors, carriers, subcontractors, or technical teams to deliver customer projects
• Not Telecom/IT Projects: Your experience has no connection to Telecom, ISP, MSP, IT Services, Networking, or Low Voltage environments
• 3+ years of project management experience
• Previous experience managing, supervising, or directly leading a team
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously from planning through completion
• 3+ years of customer-facing experience supporting U.S.-based clients
• 1+ year of experience in Telecom, ISP, MSP, IT Services, Networking, or Low Voltage environments
• Proven ability to coordinate vendors, carriers, subcontractors, and technical teams
• Strong leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Strong ownership, follow-through, and ability to drive projects forward with minimal supervision
• Familiarity with networking concepts and technical service delivery
• Experience using project management, ticketing, CRM, and collaboration tools
