Remote Data Engineer

Trilogy Federal provides innovative solutions for complex business challenges across financial management, healthcare, and government industries. The company is seeking a Data Engineer to implement and support SSAS environments, develop reporting solutions, collaborate with technical teams on requirements, and create logical and physical data models for a federal client.

Responsibilities:

• Implement a functional SSAS environment
• Building and re-designing a set of reports that need to transition to an analysis services environment
• Work with our customer’s technical team to identify initial requirements
• Apply tabular, relational, and multidimensional data modeling methodologies
• Transform raw data into meaningful business decisions and pre-aggregate data for optimal results
• Document logical and physical data models
• Document and update reporting environment data model
• Develop new reports based on customer requirements

Requirements:

• Minimum of 8 years of overall professional experience and bachelor's degree
• Minimum of 6 years of experience with JAVA and JAVA Script
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with SQL
• Define and develop new reporting and data queries using SQL, SSAS, and SSIS
• Experience building both star and snowflake schemas
• Working knowledge of tabular, relational, and multidimensional data models
• Working knowledge of AWS and/or Azure cloud environments
• Experience building complex dashboards and reports with Power BI
• Expert-level understand of ETL, data pipeline, and data warehousing concepts
• Self-starter able to work independently and within a team
• Flexibility and the ability to react to rapidly changing requirements
• The ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
• Experience generating data models and analytics of a financial nature including budgeting, financial management, or personnel environment
• Preferred VA experience but not required
