Analyst, Business Development | 100% Commission

PCR Consulting LLC is seeking a commercially minded Analyst, Business Development to support the growth of its middle-market M&A advisory practice. The role involves qualifying inbound business-owner opportunities, assessing transaction readiness, advancing prospects through the sales process, maintaining pipeline data, and partnering with senior bankers on client handoffs.

Responsibilities:

• Engage with pre-qualified inbound business-owner opportunities and support initial advisory conversations
• Gather and organize information on each company, owner priorities, transaction goals, timing, and valuation expectations
• Assess fit and transaction readiness while helping communicate the firm’s sell-side M&A process, positioning, deliverables, and client experience
• Build credibility with founders and senior executives through thoughtful questions, responsive follow-up, and professional communication
• Support conversations around timing, fees, valuation, confidentiality, and the advisory process
• Help advance qualified opportunities through discovery, follow-up, proposal discussions, and engagement-letter execution
• Maintain accurate CRM notes, pipeline stages, forecasts, next steps, and conversion reporting
• Partner with senior bankers on client handoffs and provide feedback on lead quality, client sentiment, market conditions, and messaging

Requirements:

• Experience in business development, consultative B2B sales, financial services, advisory work, or a related client-facing role
• Strong business acumen and the ability to communicate professionally with founders, business owners, and C-suite decision-makers
• Excellent research, discovery, organization, written communication, and relationship-management skills
• Analytical judgment with the ability to evaluate client needs, transaction readiness, and next-step priorities
• Comfort with performance targets, accountability, and a 100% commission-only compensation model
• Available to work remotely from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time
• Must be based in the United States
• Exposure to M&A, investment banking, private equity, finance, consulting, accounting, brokerage, or professional services is preferred
