VAVE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) Program Intern

Aldevron, a Danaher operating company focused on life sciences, diagnostics, and biotechnology, is seeking a VAVE Program Intern. The role supports cost-improvement initiatives by developing project plans, collaborating with cross-functional teams and suppliers, and participating in VAVE workshops, Should-Cost modeling, product teardowns, and competitive benchmarking.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the VAVE program across Aldevron/IDT to drive total cost improvement, engaging cross-functional teams including R&D, Product Management, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Finance. Assisting cross-functional Daily Management for VAVE projects, ensuring consistent execution and tracking of cost-saving initiatives
• Assisting internal and supplier VAVE Kaizens to identify cost-saving opportunities, eliminate waste, and implement Should-Cost models through product teardowns and competitive benchmarking
• Collaborate with Product Planning to prioritize high-impact projects and allocate resources effectively, ensuring alignment with business unit strategies

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in in Supply Chain, Business, Operation Management, Engineering or Finance
• Basic understanding of statistics and finance, experience with Microsoft tools
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Project Management, Supplier Management, Manufacturing and New Product Commercialization Experience
• Chemical/or pharmaceutical experience preferred
