SAP Business/Sales Development Representative

Answerthink, an SAP software reseller and implementation partner and Hackett Group company, is seeking a Business/Sales Development Representative to drive pipeline growth and support its go-to-market efforts. The role focuses on outbound prospecting, inbound lead qualification, discovery calls, opportunity advancement, sales enablement, and improving business development programs for SAP target accounts.

Responsibilities:

• Execute persona- and industry-specific outbound sequences (email, call, LinkedIn) against SAP target accounts and build new campaign target lists
• Develop and refine outbound sequences independently and in collaboration with Marketing, contributing ideas, testing approaches, and reporting back on what’s driving opens, connects, and conversions
• Respond to and qualify inbound leads from marketing sources (website, events, webinars) with prompt follow-up and context-appropriate conversations
• Conduct discovery-oriented sales calls to surface genuine pain points, priorities, and fit – handling objections confidently and adapting approaches in real time
• Identify, qualify, and advance opportunities from target accounts to sales-accepted lead status, documenting call outcomes and context clearly enough for AEs to walk into follow-up meetings prepared
• Maintain accurate contact and pipeline data, flagging and correcting data issues as part of routine outreach
• Proactively identify ways to improve program performance (open, pick-up, and conversion rates) and surface insights to help refine the outbound process
• Evaluate and pilot new sales tools and technologies, bringing recommendations back to the team

Requirements:

• 2–4 years of experience in enterprise software sales or business development
• Demonstrated experience running or contributing to multi-touch outbound sequences including some hand in messaging or sequence design
• Comfort and confidence in handling objections live on the phone, with the ability to adapt approach mid-conversation
• Track record of qualifying opportunities through discovery (not just booking meetings)
• High-level understanding of ERP and software solutions and midmarket customer needs
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business language
• Experience working remotely with strong follow-through
• Experience in the SAP ecosystem or enterprise software environment
• Familiarity with industry needs across Life Sciences, Consumer Packaged Goods, Industrial Manufacturing, High Tech, Chemicals, and Wholesale Distribution
• Hands-on experience with Outreach, Salesforce, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar sales engagement platforms
