Business Analyst Intern

Granicus is a GovTech company that builds technology connecting governments and their constituents. The Business Analyst Intern will support the Operational Excellence department by analyzing business processes and data, documenting requirements, and contributing to process improvement initiatives. The role also involves creating reports and dashboards, conducting research, and collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Assist efforts to identify business needs, analyze requirements, and propose solutions to improve business processes and operations
• Support the analysis and documentation of current business processes, identifying areas for improvement
• Develop data-driven business analyses and create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support decision-making
• Work with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements
• Assist functional teams, the Enterprise PMO, and the business systems team in execution of key initiatives
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform business strategies
• Responsible for Granicus information security by appropriately preserving the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) of Granicus information assets in accordance with the company's information security program
• Responsible for ensuring the data privacy of our employees and customers, their data, as well as taking all required privacy training in a timely manner, in accordance with company policies

Requirements:

• PursuingInterest in Business, Economics, Data Science, or a related field
• Strong analytical skills, including experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel)
• Good written communication skills, including experience with PowerPoint
• Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present ideas and make recommendations
• Ability to work cross-functionally with key stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
