Senior Supplier Development Engineer (R5487)

The Supplier Development Engineer will focus on harness assemblies and electronic components, improving supplier performance, resolving challenges affecting quality, on-time delivery, and scaling, supporting supplier onboarding to new designs, and helping deliver affordable autonomous systems at scale.

Responsibilities:

• Enhancing supplier performance by solving supplier challenges that impact quality/on-time delivery/scaling, supporting the onboarding of suppliers to new designs, and delivering on our mission to deliver affordable and autonomous mass at scale

Requirements:

• A degree in electrical, industrial, or mechanical engineering, or equivalent relevant experience
• Experience leading new-product industrialization and project management across engineering teams and contract manufacturers
• Strong working knowledge of wire harness and FPC/FFC assembly processes, including design rules for reliable production
• Practical experience with PPAP and structured problem-solving tools, including RCCA, fishbone analysis, process mapping, and 5S
• Direct experience improving supplier or contract-manufacturer quality, process capability, capacity, or production execution
• Ability to travel internationally up to 50% to engage suppliers
