Senior Data Engineer with Terraform

EPAM Systems is a global leader in AI transformation engineering and integrated consulting. The company is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to architect, develop, and support scalable data solutions on Google Cloud Platform, with a focus on data pipelines, infrastructure automation, DevOps workflows, and data reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and develop scalable data pipelines using GCP services
• Spearhead the creation of data solutions utilizing BigQuery, Dataflow, and Dataform/dbt
• Coordinate workflows with Cloud Composer/Airflow
• Handle real-time data streaming via Pub/Sub and Cloud Storage
• Deploy infrastructure as code with Terraform
• Set up and support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Work with stakeholders to convert business needs into technical solutions
• Guarantee data quality, reliability, and performance throughout all systems
• Coach team members and advocate for engineering best practices

Requirements:

• 3+ years of practical experience with SQL and Python
• Deep knowledge of GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, and Dataform/dbt
• Competence in Cloud Composer/Airflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage
• Abilities in DevOps practices including CI/CD, GitHub Actions, and Terraform
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Sound business acumen
• English skills at B2 level or above
• Certified as a Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer
• Experience with Data Lake technologies like Iceberg
• Understanding of CDC through Datastream
• Grasp of Dataplex, Knowledge Catalog, and Analytics Hub
• Proficiency in Looker
