Software Engineer I

The confidential company is seeking a Software Engineer I to join its Fundamental AI Research team focused on advancing artificial intelligence research. The role involves developing deep learning systems and tools, contributing to machine learning platform and framework development, and writing robust code for cutting-edge AI/ML models.

Responsibilities:

• Engineer, design, implement, and improve cutting-edge machine learning systems and tools for enabling research
• Apply knowledge of relevant research domains, along with expert coding skills, to platform and framework development projects
• Write clean and robust machine learning code

Requirements:

• 0-1 years of deep learning experience working with codebases supporting cutting-edge AI/ML models
• Proficiency in ML Development: Experience developing machine learning algorithms or infrastructure in Python/PyTorch and/or C/C++
• Core Education: Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or relevant Technical field is required
• Remote - EST is ideal, but not required
• Demonstrated Software Engineering Track Record: Proven experience via professional work, coding competitions, or widely used open-source/GitHub contributions
• PHD or advanced degree preferred
• Seeking highly motivated candidates who are straight out of college with an of ML related degree. Hiring team does not want to see candidates with more than 1 year of experience
