Learning Experience Designer — Simulation Training — Contract — Project-Based

Dealplay develops interactive training delivered through web browsers and Meta Quest 3 mixed reality. The Learning Experience Designer will turn subject-matter expertise, procedures, and reference materials into engaging simulation-based training scenarios, defining learner practice, decisions, and performance assessment. The role includes interviewing experts, developing scenario and assessment materials, validating accuracy, testing playable training, and producing implementation-ready specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Interview subject-matter experts and review existing training materials
• Define the audience, learning objectives and observable measures of success
• Write scenario outlines, storyboards, branching decisions and interaction specifications
• Develop learner instructions, feedback, assessment criteria and debrief questions
• Validate scenario accuracy against customer procedures and expert feedback
• Review playable training and refine the experience based on learner testing
• Produce clear, implementation-ready training specifications

Requirements:

• Instructional design for adult or workplace learning
• Designing scenarios that connect learner decisions with meaningful consequences
• Translating complex information into clear, practical learning activities
• Creating measurable learning objectives and assessments
• Interviewing experts and incorporating structured feedback
