Product Manager- Jazz Group

Exceleration Music is a global music venture supporting independent labels, artists, and music entrepreneurs. The Product Manager, Jazz Group plans and executes digital and physical releases, develops marketing strategies, coordinates internal and external stakeholders, and manages campaign performance, budgets, and artist communications.

Responsibilities:

• Generate tailored marketing plans in collaboration with label and artist teams, incorporating digital strategy, social media, PR, radio, retail, D2C, tour support, and other marketing initiatives
• Coordinate with internal and external teams across A&R, digital, retail, D2C, visual creative, artist management, radio, and PR to execute priority projects
• Regularly interface with artists and management on all aspects of commercial release plans and marketing strategy
• Lead release kickoff meetings and help align stakeholders on goals, timelines, and responsibilities
• Direct and support the creation and delivery of marketing assets, including bios, artwork, video, social, email, and DSP content
• Source, proof, and manage copy and credits for biographies, press releases, album credits, and related materials
• Collaborate with the GM, label, sales, and fan engagement teams to plan and execute D2C campaigns via label stores and artist stores
• Understand and analyze campaign performance, including streaming/sales, D2C, social, advertising, press, and radio, and adjust marketing strategies accordingly
• Track release budgets and expenses
• Provide day-to-day support to the Heads of Marketing and GM of the Jazz Group across release planning, campaign execution, special projects, and internal communication
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Knowledge of the album release process and cycle, including physical and digital releases
• Strong knowledge of digital platforms, social trends, and content formats, especially Meta, YouTube, TikTok, and emerging platforms
• Self-motivated and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced release environment
• Collaborative, flexible team player with a positive attitude and willingness to pitch in
• Strong communicator and relationship builder, able to engage stakeholders at all levels; excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary
• Practical knowledge of how independent labels operate and the unique challenges they face
• Comfortable navigating change in a dynamic environment and capable of succeeding as a fully remote team member
• Receptive to feedback and proactive in seeking clarity when navigating complex projects or faced with uncertainty
• Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Canva; the ability to create compelling presentations and reports is a plus
• Strong ownership and follow-through across multiple releases, deadlines, and priorities
• Collaborative, flexible approach to working across artists, managers, label teams, and internal stakeholders
• Sound judgment, adaptability, and proactive communication in a dynamic independent-label environment
• Required: 1-3 years of music industry product marketing experience (i.e., label, press, management)
• Required: Associate's degree
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Remote – United States. Approximately 5% travel, generally for required offsite meeings
• Full time, Exempt, Traditional business hours
• Jazz experience preferred
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field
• Preferred: Knowledge of photo editing tools and video editing software
