Technical Project Manager

NTT DATA is a business and technology services company. The Technical Project Manager will lead the scoping, planning, and implementation of technology initiatives within the BFSI consulting practice, managing governance, risks, budgets, resources, and delivery. The role also requires stakeholder collaboration, executive reporting, change management, and client engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Provides leadership to direct and oversee the scoping, planning and implementation of technology initiatives
• Partners closely with technology leaders, business leaders and subject matter experts to develop project execution strategies, plans and timelines
• Defines, develops and implements an effective project operating model and governance framework to drive consistency of delivery
• Builds relationships and collaborates with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments
• Proactively monitors and addresses any risks or issues that could compromise on-time delivery, escalating as needed to minimize impacts
• Facilitates and leads project meetings to solicit and provide status updates to key stakeholders, technology and business leadership
• Creates, executes and monitors project communication, quality and change management strategies
• Manages project deadlines, budgets, delivery and acceptance of required deliverables ensuring high quality
• Adheres to client project management and technology delivery lifecycle processes, standards and guidelines

Requirements:

• Candidates must currently be a legal resident of the United States
• • Project Management experience in a technology environment
• • Experience with both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies
• • Proven track record of excellent project delivery, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment
• • Partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels to manage, inform and influence outcomes
• • Desire and ability to develop project deliverables with the ability to coach and develop high-performing project teams
• • Executive level verbal and written communication skills, ability to translate technical jargon into simplified and concise communications
• • Executive presence: highly articulate and demonstrates
• • Ability to travel to client locations (20-40%) as needed for key meetings and implementation events
• • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent work experience
• • 3+ years of Project Management experience in a technology environment
• • 3+ years of project delivery, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment
• • 3+ years of experience with both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies
• Must reside in the US
• • Prior technology or business consulting experience
• • Experience delivering project in the Banking and Financial Services Industry
• • Demonstrated understanding of business and technology organization, resources, priorities, and needs
• • Experience implementing initiatives within a multi-vendor, matrixed organization
• • Strong skills in MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio, Project)
• • Strong grasp of project management and technology development lifecycle
