Senior Software Engineer - Infrastructure

The client is an established, venture-backed AI infrastructure and security company helping enterprises build, deploy, and secure AI applications at scale. They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build scalable backend services, distributed systems, and cloud-native infrastructure supporting cutting-edge AI workloads, while contributing to technical direction and engineering best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and scale highly available backend services and APIs powering AI infrastructure products
• Develop cloud-native systems that support large-scale AI and machine learning workloads
• Architect distributed systems with a focus on reliability, security, performance, and scalability
• Build and maintain Kubernetes-based infrastructure and services
• Collaborate closely with product, infrastructure, and security teams to bring new products to market
• Contribute to technical architecture decisions and long-term platform strategy
• Mentor engineers and help establish engineering best practices across the organization
• Improve observability, automation, deployment workflows, and operational excellence

Requirements:

• • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
• • 5+ years of professional backend software engineering experience
• • Strong experience designing and building scalable backend systems in production environments
• • Deep expertise with Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies
• • Experience building distributed systems, microservices, and APIs
• • Experience working in a startup or high-growth technology environment
• • Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, and engineering best practices
• • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• • Experience building infrastructure, platform, developer tooling, or security products
• • Experience with AI/ML infrastructure, model deployment platforms, or large-scale data systems
• • Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• • Familiarity with containerization technologies
• • Experience operating in fast-paced environments with a high degree of ownership and autonomy
