Better Money - Applied AI Engineer

Better Money is an early-stage financial infrastructure company building a stablecoin clearinghouse for global payments. The Applied AI Engineer will design, prototype, evaluate, and productionize AI-powered products, agents, internal tools, and workflows using modern LLM technologies while ensuring reliability, monitoring, and appropriate safeguards for financial infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• You’ll design and ship AI-powered products, agents, internal tools, and automated workflows across Better Money. You’ll build systems around modern LLMs, including tool calling, RAG, structured outputs, context management, and integrations with APIs and internal systems
• You’ll also develop evaluation and monitoring frameworks to measure accuracy, reliability, latency, and cost, while designing appropriate guardrails for AI operating within financial infrastructure
• Working closely with Product and Engineering, you’ll help determine where AI can meaningfully improve the product, automate complex processes, and give a small team significantly more leverage
