Software AI Engineer

BC Law supports the real estate industry with attorney-based mortgage closings, settlement services, and compliant document management solutions. The Software AI Engineer will develop and maintain software and AI solutions for document management and real estate transaction platforms, including back-end services, third-party integrations, AI algorithms, system optimization, and production troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions that support BC Law’s document management and real estate transaction platforms
• Implementing back-end web services, integrating third-party APIs, optimizing system performance, and troubleshooting issues in production environments
• Collaborating closely with product, operations, and legal teams to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical specifications, and deliver secure, scalable features
• Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement of development practices and tools
• Programming AI software to utilize large amounts of data
• Developing and deploying AI algorithms
• Collaborating with other team members to establish goals for AI processes
• Evaluating the effectiveness of AI

Requirements:

• Solid foundation in Computer Science and Software Development principles
• Programming AI software to utilize large amounts of data

• Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) for building scalable applications
• Experience with Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks
• Ability to design, debug, and maintain production-grade systems in a collaborative environment
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Knowledge of security best practices and data privacy considerations, ideally within financial or legal services
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast pace work environment
